What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a component of connective tissue whose function is to cushion and lubricate. Hyaluronic acid is present in every tissue of the body. Retention of water is one of the most important biological functions of Hyaluronic acid, second only to provide nutrients and removing waste from cells that do not have a direct blood supply, such as cartilage cells. With a lower adequate amount of Hyaluronic acid nutrients cannot moved to these cells and waste cannot be eliminated from the cells.
Hyaluronic Acid :- The key to fountain of Youth
It has been nicknamed as Fountain of Youth because it has been noted that people who ingest a lot of Hyaluronan tend to live ripe old ages. Interesting!
So Could Hyaluronic Acid be an anti-ageing remedy?
How do we change from a radiant 16 year old with smooth glowing skin to the 40 something who is beginning to see her mother looking back at her, then years pass by and then stands a 65 year old with puffy eyes and loose skin folds hanging by the sides and chin.
So let's review and understand what these changes are that we should look for and take steps beforehand to correct.
The facial skin of an aged person is much drier and than a young skin. The supple tight skin of a child has natural water and moisturising properties within the skin. As we grow older the natural moisturising agent Hyaluronic Acid is lost by half when we reach 50. And this cannot be replaced by taking a pill. Loss of hormonal support is another reason for the loss of moisture in the skin.
Fine line and wrinkles
Fine line and wrinkles are the classic signs of ageing. This is caused by the loss of collagen in the deeper layers of skin. As years go by with exposure to sun and UV rays collagen is destroyed. As the collagen begins to reduce the skin starts losing its volume and then starts wrinkling.
Loose skin
As the hyaluronic acid decreases in time the skin loses its elasticity and becomes loose. The cheek has fallen and creates loose skin on the jaws called jowls.
Nowadays there are millions of anti ageing creams which promise to reverse ageing. Choosing the right one is daunting task and most women would just pick up any which is lying in the front of the shelf and will not actually do some research.
The first thing you should look for before purchasing anti ageing cream is whether they have natural ingredients rather than chemicals. Some of the ingredients which I look for is below:-
Green tea: It rejuvenates skin cells and suppresses any inflammation of skin.
Hyaluronic acid:- This is a very effective moisturiser, smooths skin, promotes growth of new cells and stops from sagging. It rejuvenates the dermis layer of the skin. It is by far the hottest ingredient in the cream in the market right now.
Cream must contain antioxidant which will aid in repairing damaged skin as well as reduce signs of ageing. Vitamin C significantly increases antioxidant activity. Vitamin C serum with Hyaluronic acid improves appearance and supports healthy looking skin.
These are more effective if the cream is applied after a shower as pore opens and absorbs the product easily and more effective.

Having said that we should also accept the truth that ageing is a natural process of life and no one can reverse it completely. However with a healthy diet and lifestyle we can age gracefully.
You may want to discover which anti ageing cream is the right one for you and this may take a while as it is a very long process. So many organic companies offering so many varieties and promise to leave your skin young and smooth. Well, it's a journey to find the right one!!
